Max grew up in Victoria, British Columbia. After finishing High School, Max started his journey in Culinary Arts, working in various restaurants in Victoria.

In 2014, Max moved over to Vancouver and worked in sales and retail, where he became the manager at a E-Cigarette store EZ-VapeCanada. After working at EZ-Vape for a few years, Max really felt like he wanted to get into the recovery field.

Max started as a volunteer cook at Together We Can in 2016, from there he went into an Assistant Manager and eventually the managers roll at the Awakenings or Together We Can. Max managed Awakenings for over a year, where he learned patience tolerance. After being the live in manager, Max knew that he had found my home at Together We Can.

Shortly after Together We Can opened up a program called Solid Ground, Max became the Client Care Coordinator at Solid Ground. Solid Ground gave Max a new perspective on addiction and how to deal with trauma. Max has began working with clientele most of who are veterans.

Max has completed the CANAM Interventions Training and Skills 101 Certificate, and has taken on the role of sober coaching men in recovery. Max feels it really fills his spirit to help man intergrate back into society by finding employment, signing up for school and basic life skills that were lost on the road of addiction.

Max has also completed the Core Addiction Practice with Vancouver Coastal Health, Basic Counselling Course Certificate through VCC and Trauma Informed Therapy Course.

Max’s life goal is to travel the world facilitating interventions and helping as many people as he can.
